Dr. Ross Federgreen, CIPP/US, CIPP/G, CIPP/E, Fellow, European Privacy Association - Founder

As founder of CSR, Ross Federgreen serves as chief innovator for the company and plays an active role in consulting and business development activities. His expertise includes payment system design, integration, cost, risk and regulatory compliance, as well as Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data security for domestic, foreign and cross-border entities.

Federgreen lectures widely and has authored over one hundred articles and white papers that have appeared in publications such as The Green Sheet, Transaction Trends, The Bottom Line, Inside Self-Storage, Grocery Headquarters and many other professional and trade journals. In 2009, Transaction Trends, the official journal of the Electronic Transaction Association, named Federgreen one of six industry leaders.

Federgreen currently serves on the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Publications Advisory Board as well as the Advisory Board for The Green Sheet, a popular payments industry publication. He is a member of the Electronic Transactions Association's (ETA) Data Security Task Force and previously served on the Association's Program Planning Committee. Additionally, Federgreen is an advisor to the United States Senate, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and numerous multi-national corporations.

Prior to founding CSR, Federgreen consulted for The Rockefeller Fund, McKinsey & Company and Booz-Allen-Hamilton.

Federgreen received his Bachelors Degree from Hofstra University with Highest Departmental Honors, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and received his Doctorate from Yale University. He holds the internationally recognized Certified Information Privacy Professional United States (CIPP/US), Government (CIPP/G) and Europe (CIPP/E) designations. Additionally, Federgreen is a European Privacy Association Fellow.
 

Richard (Rick) Heroux - President, CIPP/US

Rick Heroux oversees corporate operations and product development for CSR. He is the developer for of the PCI ToolKit™ as well as the HIPAA ToolKit™.

Heroux is a specialist in adopting and redeploying payment strategies. He has advised hundreds of companies ranging in size from Fortune 100 to start-ups. His areas of expertise include payment cost performance, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, alternative payment implementation and the operational management of payment systems inclusive of both internal and external fraud prevention.

He is a sought-after speaker and has delivered keynote addresses at national meetings, including the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA). Heroux served on the Risk and Fraud Management Committee of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) and has spoken on PCI compliance at its Annual Meeting & Expo. He and is a professional member of the National Association of Clearing House Administrators and the Computer Security Institute.

Prior to CSR, Heroux worked in the energy industry for 18 years, including a stint directing business systems at Florida Power and Light, where he was responsible for as much as $250 million in annual budgets and chaired task forces on organization design, reengineered operational systems and designed regulatory defense systems.

Heroux obtained Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business and Environmental Science Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois, and has achieved Utility Finance and Accounting Professional (UFAFP) certification from the Financial Accounting Institute. Heroux additionally is a recipient of the prestigious W. Edwards Deming award for quality improvement and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional United States (CIPP/US).
 

Darrel Anderson - Executive Vice President, Sales and Client Solutions

Darrel Anderson brings more than 24 years of experience in the payments industry to his role as executive vice president of sales and client solutions. He oversees sales and business development activities for the company.
 
Prior to joining CSR, Anderson was president of US Financial Services Group, and before that served as senior vice president of strategic partnerships with TSYS, a worldwide payment processor and merchant acquirer.  Anderson also worked as vice president of sales for SITEL Worldwide, a global business process outsourcing leader. While at SITEL, Anderson worked with clients such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC and Capital One. He has also held a number of senior level positions with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, a leading North American financial institution, including management roles in issuing, acquiring, payments, marketing and channel management, and was selected as a Chairman's Award winner three times - the only employee to achieve this honor.

While working in the Caribbean, Anderson developed a number of independent sales organizations, and generated business in 11 countries. He was instrumental in creating the first linked debit switching systems between banks in the West Indies. His relationships included the Sandals Group, Colombian Emeralds, Texaco and Shell West Indies. Anderson was a member of the board of directors of the Caribbean Integrated Financial Systems Network (CARIFS) and of CariCard Services Ltd., the largest independent credit card processing corporation in the Caribbean.

Anderson is active within the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) community, and has served as a panel speaker, program speaker, session leader and committee member. He has also been a featured speaker at the National Retail Federation Chief Financial Officer Forums, a Direct Marketing Association guru, and has served the United Way as a cabinet member in the Leadership giving program.

Anderson holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. He has also earned the prestigious Fellow, Institute of Canadian Banking (FICB) designation.
 

Mark Brady, CIPP/US, CIPP/G, PMP – Director of Compliance

Mark Brady’s role is to provide a strategic regulatory perspective for both product development and consulting engagements. Mark has deep knowledge of credit card rules for data protection, plus a rich background in compliance with an emphasis on Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.

As compliance officer for EVO Merchant Services, Brady oversaw compliance with card brand rules for over 300 sales agents, as well as 32 registered Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) and Merchant Service Providers (MSPs) representing over 160,000 merchants. At EVO, Brady was additionally responsible for PCI compliance related to merchants, ISOs and corporate operations.
At MasterCard International, Brady was responsible for global distribution of all new and revised rules as director of rules and policy. He later served as vice president of global acquiring where he was the liaison between MasterCard United States and Europay.

Prior to MasterCard, Brady was relationship manager for 150 Citibank branches nationwide, plus provided corporate oversight for risk management, operations and merchant relationships at ISO Diversified Acquiring Solutions (DAS). He additionally was director of association compliance for NaBanco when they were the largest non-bank card process of Visa and MasterCard transactions in the United States. Brady began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for operational audits for a wide range of clients, several in the financial services industry.
Brady earned a Bachelor in Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional United States(CIPP/US) and Government (CIPP/G) designations.
 

Jan Carroza – Director of Corporate Communications

Jan Carroza is responsible for managing internal and external communications for the company as well as directing client and employee training.

Most recently, Carroza has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial companies, including Dawnpilot, an Internet media placement company; Social Media Dynamics, an Internet content marketing company; mShopper, a mobile webstore development company; Center for Direct Marketing, a direct response services company; and RadioActive Media, a radio media advertising company.

Previously, Carroza held a wide variety of broadcast media industry positions, including vice president of sales and marketing at American TV Time, sales director at Williams TV Time and national sales manager at TV at Media Headquarters. She has served as an adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University teaching advertising media planning.

Carroza has spoken at many retail, advertising, Internet and broadcasting industry conventions, plus has written many articles for their print and online trade magazines. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southern Illinois University in Radio and TV Broadcasting.
 

Susan Federgreen, CIPP/US - Corporate Comptroller

Susan Federgreen is a results-oriented accounting and finance professional with experience and a proven track record in developing, implementing and improving business processes at corporate levels.

Experienced in cost, internal controls, operations, managerial accounting, business planning, financial analysis, budgeting and innovation, Federgreen is recognized as a strategic thinker with sound business judgment, forecasting and negotiation skills with the ability to analyze corporate financial results. Her excellent communication skills and great sense of humor have earned the respect of clients, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.

Previously, Federgreen was with Nabisco Brands, serving as senior logistics analyst. Her knowledge and skills were utilized to develop physical distribution of product strategies, as well as warehouse and distribution budget management. Prior to Nabisco, Federgreen completed numerous consulting engagements on budget and financial matters for local city governments, medical practices and several political campaigns.

Federgreen received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven after earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College and City University of New York. She holds the internationally recognized Certified Information Privacy Professional United States (CIPP/US) designation.
 

Linda Grimm, CIPP/US, PMP – Director of Consulting Services

Linda Grimm is a seasoned payments executive with extensive merchant acquiring industry knowledge and expertise. Her specialties include operations, risk mitigation, and both regulatory and PCI compliance.

Grimm’s experience includes supervising the merchant experience for Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance at the ISO level, as well as expanding data security to protect all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as part of overall corporate responsibility. Her strengths are building processes and procedures in risk management, compliance and business operations that result in improved customer service levels and operational efficiencies.

As president of TRX Processing, a wholesale ISO, Grimm utilized her skills and experience to build a full service operation designed to provide the best possible service at competitive rates with a diverse product offering catering to the needs of small business merchant customers. As director of operations for Moneris Solutions, Grimm was responsible for the merchant boarding, customer support and risk management functions for the acquirer’s United States division, as well as overseeing the successful integration and conversion of Humboldt Merchant Services’ portfolio to Moneris’ operating structure. Grimm spent 13 years with Humboldt Merchant Services (HMS) as the director of operations. She was responsible for all outward-facing operational functions, including account boarding, risk management, underwriting, compliance, chargebacks, customer service and technical support.

Grimm is an expert in the area of regulatory and card brand compliance. She currently is a member of the Electronic Transactions Association's (ETA) Data Security Task Force, has participated in technology presentations on PCI Compliance at the ETA Annual Meeting & Expo, and has served on the Association's Risk Committee. Additionally, Grimm serves on the Western States Acquirers Association (WSAA) Advisory Board and is an author of numerous articles addressing risk management and compliance issues for the payments industry.

Grimm obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Chico. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has earned Certified Information Privacy Professional United States (CIPP/US) accreditation.
 

Paul Nowling - Director of Technical Operations and Support, CIPP/IT

Paul Nowling is responsible for development and day-to-day operations of our various “ToolKit” offerings, as well as ongoing product maintenance, enhancement and support. He works closely with client and partner organizations to ensure complete satisfaction.

Nowling brings more than twenty years experience in the information technology field to CSR. He has substantial experience in all facets of the software development lifecycle as well as network management and security.

Prior to CSR, Nowling was responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of systems in the commercial, legal, medical device, health care and credit card security industries. He served as pre-surgical care management system product manager for DocuSys, was director of professional services for Prompte, and was a senior project manager for Abbott Laboratories.

Nowling has earned the prestigious Certified Information Privacy Professional Information Technology (CIPP/IT) designation.
